Donors that give at least $5 per week, or $260 annually are eligible. Twelve finalists are selected, and each finalist gets a key to try to start the car! The 2023 raffle will take place on from 5:30-7:30, Wednesday, May 17 during the United Way's Campaign Appreciation Social at the Foundry Plaza in Loveland. Looking every bit the conventional family sedan that it is, it seems only distantly related to the lifted SUV-ish Outback, though the two are built on the same platform and share many components. For 2023, Subaru's family sedan wears an updated look, with a larger grille, a revised front bumper, and different headlamps. The mid-range Sport model now comes standard with a 260-hp turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder and additional exterior embellishments including a red stripe in the grille and gray mirror caps. Automated emergency steering has been added to the roster of available driver-assistance features, and the top Touring XT trim uses a new wide-angle camera that improves the field-of-view for the car's EyeSight system. A 2.5-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine is standard and makes 182 horsepower. Sport and Touring XT models come with a 260-hp turbocharged 2.4-liter engine. All Legacy models have all-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). We've tested both engines now, and what a difference a turbo makes. The Touring XT managed to hit 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds while the non-turbo Sport required a lackluster 8.0 seconds. Regardless of which engine is under the hood, the new Legacy boasts slightly improved handling dynamics over the last generation and a similarly compliant ride. The 2023 Legacy is a fine option if you're shopping for a new midsize car. The Legacy has an airy and nicely trimmed interior, and it offers comfy seats, a decently sized trunk and loads of standard safety features, from adaptive headlights to adaptive cruise control. The suspension handles rough roads with ease, yielding a smooth and relaxing ride, and standard all-wheel drive makes for surefooted handling in less-than-ideal conditions.
